Seminars

Creative Industries, Innovation and the Smart Economy – 25th of November 2009

Whitaker Institute, National University of Ireland, Galway and the Western Development Commission

The economic downturn provides practitioners, policymakers and industry analysts with a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of creativity in innovative pursuits. This half-day seminar built on the publication by the Western Development Commission – Creative West (2009).  It provided an opportunity to bring together different sub-groups from within the broadly defined creative industries – creative expression, creative application, creative technology.
